Arizona Coffea was created as a platform to showcase the Black culture in the state of Arizona and beyond. Arizona Coffea shares stories of individuals making a difference in their communities. It highlights businesses that cater to the Black community, as well as discusses topics including; culture, relationships, parenting, finances, and more.

Our mission is simple, yet powerful. We are changing the narrative of how the Black community is viewed in the media.

NaTyshca Pickett, Founder and Editor-in-Chief

Arizona Coffea (pronounced coffee) was launched by NaTyshca Pickett. Originally from Illinois, NaTyshca moved to Arizona after graduating from Lewis University with her bachelor's degree in Journalism. As a Social Impact Journalist, NaTyshca has always had a passion for writing stories about the experiences of the Black culture. Realizing that there was not a magazine in Arizona that showcased all of the great things that were happening in the Black culture, NaTyshca knew that she wanted to create something that educated others of the rich Black culture and the great things that was coming from it. NaTyshca is a believer of being the change she wants to see, and she knew that to change the narrative about her culture, she needed to introduce others to the amazing things within the Black community.
