Black History Month Feature: BFC Brand

By NaTyshca Pickett

One primary motivation for highlighting Black businesses is to address historical and systemic inequality in economic possibilities. Throughout history, Black entrepreneurs have encountered discrimination, limited access to financing, and unequal commercial possibilities. By aggressively featuring and supporting Black businesses, we help to address these inequities and promote economic fairness. This recognition contributes to the breakdown of barriers and the creation of a more inclusive business climate, helping Black entrepreneurs to gain attention, grow, and succeed.

For this feature, I present to you BFC Brand, founded by Shaunta’ Johnson.

BFC Brand was born from a talk with GOD. He asked me a simple question - “This stage in your life, the journey you’re on with me; how are you doing it, how are you living through all the obstacles, disappointments, trials and tribulations of life?” I instinctively replied — BY FAITH!!!

This isn’t just a BRAND. It symbolizes a glimpse of my personal journey, a reminder that encourages me to continue moving forward no matter how hard life hits me! It’s a MOVEMENT, and since 2013 I’ve stayed committed to it, like GOD stays committed to us!

My goal is to remind, encourage and uplift you too through comfort (tees, hats, socks); things we wear everyday! So when life hits you hard; you know, no matter how impossible it looks, that you still WIN!!!

Join this Positive Movement and let the world know that you too… WALK BY FAITH.
