Black History Month Feature: Flipped Narrative
By NaTyshca Pickett
One primary motivation for highlighting Black businesses is to address historical and systemic inequality in economic possibilities. Throughout history, Black entrepreneurs have encountered discrimination, limited access to financing, and unequal commercial possibilities. By aggressively featuring and supporting Black businesses, we help to address these inequities and promote economic fairness. This recognition contributes to the breakdown of barriers and the creation of a more inclusive business climate, helping Black entrepreneurs to gain attention, grow, and succeed.
For this feature, I present to you Flipped Narrative with owner Dominique.
Flipped Narrative was created to make the wine experience more approachable and enjoyable. Flipped Narrative is all about changing the narrative of the wine space. On many occasions, I have felt out of place at wine bars or events. At Flipped Narrative, we want guests to feel comfortable in our space and confident about wine after they leave our events. As a black-woman-owned winery, we plan to continue changing the wine industry for the better.
This is a brand you need to know and support! Be sure to subscribe to their email list and follow on Facebook and Instagram for any updates on their events.
