Black History Month Feature: La’Vista Jones

By NaTyshca Pickett

One primary motivation for highlighting Black businesses is to address historical and systemic inequality in economic possibilities. Throughout history, Black entrepreneurs have encountered discrimination, limited access to financing, and unequal commercial possibilities. By aggressively featuring and supporting Black businesses, we help to address these inequities and promote economic fairness. This recognition contributes to the breakdown of barriers and the creation of a more inclusive business climate, helping Black entrepreneurs to gain attention, grow, and succeed.

For this feature, I present to you La’Vista Jones.

I am La’Vista Jones, founder and CEO of, Gilbert, AZ based, 31 Marketplace, a full service podcasting agency based in Gilbert, AZ. Our mission is to work with thought leaders to bridge the gap between innovation and impact by amplifying their unique, thoughtfully disruptive and often under-recognized voices through podcasting.

In addition to owning the agency, I am a certified coach, six-time author, host of the BOSS™ Talk podcast and professional speaker. My latest book, The BOSS™ Shift: Do What You Love, Without Sacrificing Yourself To Do It is a literary blueprint for implementing my signature framework that fuses systemization and self-care into practical self-preserving strategies for work-life balance.

Although I am a very proud native of Ohio, I currently reside in and operate my business in Arizona.

Providing your readers with insights into the diverse entrepreneurs shaping our community caught my eye and I thank you for considering my business.

Be sure to follow La’Vista and stay connected.
