The Search for Daniel Robinson

The search for missing Geologist, Daniel Robinson continues and his father will not give up until he finds his son.

David Robinson, the father of Daniel, stated that putting his effort and energy into this search is worth it until there is closure.

“Managing everything between this search and my family comes with its challenges, but I am focused on getting this done, I will do everything I can until we can have peace and find Daniel,” stated Robinson.

In the search held last week, remains were found; however, they were not Daniel’s.

“I was burdened knowing that we found more remains, but also relieved to know that they were not Daniel’s. We can now hopefully help another family find the rest they need,” Robinson said.

Daniel Robinson was first seen the morning of June 23, 2021, leaving his worksite in Buckeye, AZ.  He was driving his 2017 blue-grey Jeep Renegade and is believed to have headed west, deeper into desert terrain.

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Daniel’s vehicle was found four miles from the worksite in a remote part of the desert.  The vehicle was recovered; Daniel was not found.

Robinson is expanding his search to include homeless shelters, mental health facilities, hospitals, and more places where he could be. In order to do this, Robinson is requesting volunteers to go to these locations to post flyers and to see if anyone knows anything.

“We are trying to gather a small group of people who can go out into these locations to help expand our reach and to possibly other cities in Arizona. We want to exhaust all options,” said Robinson.

Along with the volunteers, Robinson is still accepting donations to assist with supplies for the search.

“We are trying to purchase infrared drones to help assist in hard-to-reach locations. We also need tools such as shovels to help as well,” Robinson stated.

Robinson also stated that he wants everyone to know who Daniel is and the potential he has. “My son is more than a missing person. He’s a scientist, entrepreneur, and involved in the Black Lives Matter movement, he fought against police brutality and believes in equal rights for everyone. He also has a family, especially his mother, who loves him and wants him home.”
