Black History Month Feature: Crown Us Hats

By NaTyshca Pickett

One primary motivation for highlighting Black businesses is to address historical and systemic inequality in economic possibilities. Throughout history, Black entrepreneurs have encountered discrimination, limited access to financing, and unequal commercial possibilities. By aggressively featuring and supporting Black businesses, we help to address these inequities and promote economic fairness. This recognition contributes to the breakdown of barriers and the creation of a more inclusive business climate, helping Black entrepreneurs to gain attention, grow, and succeed.

For this feature, I present to you Crown Us Hats.

In 2023, fashion stylist Shawnte Hernton debuted her brand, Crown Us Hats.

To her, hats serve as more than simply headwear; they are opportunities to show off one's individuality, spark conversations, and convey one's personality.

She thinks in the power of fashion to connect with people, thus the hats are made to assist you strike up a conversation, sharing a joke, or breaking the ice.

To support this growing brand, you can pick up your hat at Crown Us Hats. Also, stay connected with them on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
