Black History Month Feature: REP YOUR BRAND EVENTS

By NaTyshca Pickett

One primary motivation for highlighting Black businesses is to address historical and systemic inequality in economic possibilities. Throughout history, Black entrepreneurs have encountered discrimination, limited access to financing, and unequal commercial possibilities. By aggressively featuring and supporting Black businesses, we help to address these inequities and promote economic fairness. This recognition contributes to the breakdown of barriers and the creation of a more inclusive business climate, helping Black entrepreneurs to gain attention, grow, and succeed.

For this feature, I present to you Rep Your Brand Events.

Our goal was to create a safe space for all small brand owners looking to build and grow their brand. No matter if it's your first day in business or your 5th year, we all need that support. Our business model is "Teamwork Makes the Dream a Reality!” It's an amazing feeling to be in business for yourself but to know that you are not by yourself!

We encourage members of the community to attend our free events, where they can not only have fun but also support local small businesses. While our primary focus is on assisting small business owners with financial management, we do provide free community financial workshops as well. We also discuss what is needed to gain and maintain cash flow. The real challenge, as we all know, is maintaining a business once it has begun.

Rep Your Brand is more than a brand is a community, it’s family! We host a Small Business awards that highlight those who have been working hard throughout the year to show that WE see them and the community celebrates them!

We do giveaways for brand items such as banners, tablecloths, hats, and more with the brand logo on them so they can rep their brand wherever they go! We believe no matter what every day you should rep your brand in some kind of way. Let the world know that you are here and here to stay!

To stay connected and get involved, you can follow them on Instagram, view their website, or join their Facebook group.
